Uzbekistan had waited its entire independent history to qualify for its first FIFA World Cup. For the first time, the whole nation was ready to rally behind its team on football’s biggest stage. But it lacked a symbol to rally around.

Muammo

Korzinka, Uzbekistan’s leading supermarket chain, wanted to be part of this historic moment. But with limited sponsorship rights, it could not compete with the tournament’s biggest sponsors through traditional visibility. What Korzinka did have was a nationwide retail network and one of its most iconic flagship products: fresh patyr, baked in-store every morning and loved across Uzbekistan. So Korzinka saw an opportunity to transform an everyday in-store purchase into something more: a way for every shopper to take home and share the nation’s support.

Yechim

Korzinka turned its bakeries, shelves and flagship product into a live retail experience connected to every match. We created Uzbekistan’s first interactive patyr: limited-edition bread designed and baked in response to the emotions and defining moments of each game. After the opening defeat to Colombia, the patyr read “IMKON BOR”—Uzbek for “There is still a chance.” After a disallowed goal against Portugal, the next edition showed “5:1,” the score fans believed the match deserved. When the commentator’s cry “BOOOOOSSS!”—meaning “Go!” or “Keep pushing!”—took over social media, Korzinka baked that too. Each edition was developed immediately after the match and produced overnight. By morning, shoppers discovered a new patyr in Korzinka stores that reflected exactly what the country was feeling. This transformed the bakery aisle into a constantly changing World Cup activation. Customers did not simply see a message in-store: they could buy it, carry it home and share it at watch parties and before kick-off. Soon, fans recreated the patyr designs as banners, while Uzbek communities in Atlanta, New York and Pittsburgh began baking their own versions. An in-store activation created in Uzbekistan had become a global ritual of support.
