- BYD Uzbekistan — automotive brand and BYD model range
BYD is the global leader in new energy vehicle (NEV) sales and one of the world’s largest technology-driven automotive manufacturers, actively reshaping the way people perceive modern mobility.
In Uzbekistan, the brand is not only rapidly expanding its presence and model lineup, but also localizing production. Located in the Jizzakh region, BYD Uzbekistan Factory became BYD’s first manufacturing facility in Central Asia, established in partnership with UzAutoSanoat to produce electric and hybrid vehicles.
For a technology-driven product, however, simply being present on social media is not enough. Brand communication must reflect the same level of ambition as the brand itself: modern, visually powerful, recognizable, and capable of communicating not only vehicle specifications, but also the emotions and experience associated with driving and owning them.
Problem
The key challenge of the project was to create a clear and cohesive visual communication system that would elevate the brand’s perception in the digital space.
The goal was to move beyond the conventional social media presence of an automotive brand and build a complete visual environment around BYD — modern, technological, and emotionally engaging.
Each vehicle needed to be perceived not simply as a set of technical specifications, but as part of a particular lifestyle. At the same time, the content had to serve several objectives: introduce audiences to BYD models and technologies, increase brand awareness, support sales and new vehicle launches, and build sustained interest in the brand across social media.
One of the biggest challenges was maintaining a consistently high standard of content. The automotive category is highly demanding when it comes to detail: lighting, camera angles, locations, vehicle dynamics, color grading, sound, and editing. Strong automotive communication can rarely be created using a standard template.
Solution
We focused on in-house production and a systematic approach to building BYD’s visual identity.
Instead of treating each publication as a standalone piece of content, we began developing a unified visual language in which every video, photograph, and advertising asset became part of a broader brand communication system.
Over the course of one year, the team spent more than 300 hours on set.
An additional 500+ hours were dedicated to editing, color grading, sound design, graphics, animation, and final content refinement.
We filmed BYD vehicles across more than 50 different locations: urban environments, showrooms, public roads, closed-off areas, natural landscapes, and locations far beyond conventional automotive settings.
For every model, we developed a distinct visual approach. In some cases, the focus was on vehicle design; in others, on technology, driving dynamics, interior, comfort, or everyday use cases.
We paid close attention to details that viewers may not consciously notice, but which ultimately shape their perception of quality: reflections on the bodywork, camera movement, clean composition, the natural integration of the vehicle into each scene, the sound of a closing door, interior lighting, and the sequencing of shots in the final edit.
Over time, BYD content expanded far beyond traditional automotive production. We created product and brand films, technical and educational content, lifestyle scenarios, materials for new model launches, special projects, promotional offers, and content incorporating motion design, 3D, and AI tools.
A separate area of our work focused on making BYD’s advanced technologies accessible and easy to understand for a broad audience. Through visual storytelling, we explained vehicle capabilities, electric mobility, hybrid technologies, energy recuperation, comfort systems, and other features without overwhelming audiences with overly technical communication.
As a result, BYD’s social media channels became more than simply platforms for publishing content — they evolved into a fully developed digital brand environment.
Behind all of this was another essential element that cannot be measured in hours: the team’s attention to every detail and an endless passion for the work.
Results
The number of followers increased by more than 2.5× within one year.
Follower growth: from 39,000 at the beginning of the project to 101,000 today.
BYD content consistently generates more than 11 million views per month.
Monthly reach: 4–5 million people.
Reach grew to 230% of the initial level recorded when our team began working on the project.
