Over the years, the project has grown, expanded its geography and entered new markets, including Turkey. At the same time, its visual language no longer reflected the scale or international ambitions of the brand. The task was to create a contemporary identity that could work across different countries and cultural contexts while remaining recognisably part of one Colisium.
Problem
Colisium is evolving as an international forum, and every new city brings its own music scene, visual culture and local context. A fixed identity could no longer respond to this logic. If the same visual language were preserved across every country, the brand would lose its connection to local culture. If it changed completely from city to city, Colisium itself would lose recognisability. We needed to create a system that could remain unified while constantly changing.
Solution
The name Colisium refers to the Colosseum — a space that brings many people together within one structure. This metaphor became the foundation of the new identity. The circle became the core graphic element, containing city names, typography, patterns and messages. It evokes both an arena and the centre label of a vinyl record. We retained the girl wearing headphones from the previous identity, but made her part of a flexible system: her appearance, clothing, colours and local details can change in every city. A bird appears alongside her as a metaphor for the distinct sound of each country. Fixed elements create a recognisable framework, while colours, patterns and characters adapt to local culture. Local designers and sound designers can reinterpret their city within a defined set of rules. Each new city therefore becomes a co-author of the brand.
Results
Instead of a fixed visual identity, Colisium received a generative system capable of scaling together with the forum. The identity can change from country to country while preserving a consistent visual code and strong brand recognition. A dedicated guide was also developed for the Colisium team, allowing them to evolve the identity independently as the forum enters new cities and countries. The new system has already been launched at Colisium Belarus. The forum brought together 53 speakers and 282 delegates. The main result was not a new visual layer, but a system that allows an international brand to retain its identity while giving every new country a voice of its own.
