For many drivers, a car is more than just a means of transportation — it is a valuable asset they want to protect from every possible risk. A scratch in a parking lot, careless handling at a car wash, an unexpected incident on the road — even small situations can create constant concern. But no matter how careful a driver is, it is impossible to control every circumstance. This tension between the desire to protect the car from everything and the unpredictability of everyday life became the starting point for KAFIL-SUG‘URTA’s communication. Through its Voluntary Motor Vehicle Insurance (CASCO), KAFIL-SUG‘URTA wanted to shift the conversation from constant worry to financial preparedness — reminding drivers that they do not have to anticipate every possible scenario to feel more confident about the road ahead. This insight became the foundation of the creative platform: “JUST IN CASE.”

Problem

PROBLEM In Uzbekistan, the insurance market is developing rapidly, yet building a strong culture of voluntary insurance remains an important challenge. For many consumers, insurance can still be perceived as something to think about only when a risk becomes real, rather than as a proactive financial protection tool. Strengthening financial literacy, insurance culture and public trust in insurance services has therefore become one of the broader priorities for the development of the sector. This challenge is especially relevant to CASCO. Drivers may invest significant time and attention in protecting their cars themselves — watching where they park, worrying about scratches, controlling how the vehicle is washed and trying to anticipate every possible danger. Yet no level of personal caution can eliminate every unexpected risk. The communication challenge was therefore not simply to advertise another insurance product. It was to change the role of CASCO in the consumer’s mind: from an optional expense associated with “what if something happens?” to a conscious form of financial preparedness for the things we cannot control. TASK KAFIL-SUG‘URTA set out to make voluntary motor insurance emotionally understandable and relevant to everyday drivers — using a familiar human truth rather than fear-based communication. The task was to show that you cannot control every possibility, but you can be financially prepared for it, and in doing so, encourage a more conscious attitude toward voluntary insurance in Uzbekistan.

Solution

SOLUTION Instead of creating another conventional insurance commercial built around accidents, damage and fear, we chose to make the audience recognise themselves in familiar everyday behaviour. At the centre of the creative idea was a car owner who values her vehicle so much that she tries to personally control every possible risk around it. When children play near the car, she immediately checks on it. Even while sitting in a café, her attention remains on the vehicle. At the car wash, she even tries to control how carefully the car is being cleaned. Each situation deliberately escalates the same behaviour, turning a very real human concern into relatable and humorous storytelling. The story reaches its climax when the character finally turns to an insurance company. At that moment, the core idea becomes clear: You cannot control every possibility. But you can be financially prepared for its consequences. This insight became the foundation of KAFIL-SUG‘URTA’s creative platform: “JUST IN CASE.” A familiar everyday expression was transformed into a simple brand idea that captures the role of CASCO: not preventing every unexpected event, but helping drivers feel financially prepared when one occurs. Instead of explaining CASCO through complex insurance terminology, we communicated it through a universal human instinct — the desire to protect what matters to us. By using humour, recognisable behaviour and escalating everyday situations rather than fear, KAFIL-SUG‘URTA positioned CASCO not simply as an insurance policy, but as a conscious choice for financial peace of mind in an unpredictable world.

Results

RESULTS “Just in Case” moved insurance communication beyond the traditional corporate format and turned CASCO into relatable, entertaining content for a broader audience. The film generated 21.5K+ views on KAFIL-SUG‘URTA’s Instagram. To extend the communication beyond the brand’s own audience, the campaign featured well-known Uzbek actress and TV presenter Nigora Karimboyeva and was distributed through a collaborative social-media format. Karimboyeva is widely recognised through her long-standing work in Uzbek film and television. This helped take CASCO out of a purely insurance-focused environment and place it into everyday entertainment and lifestyle content. Rather than presenting insurance only through accidents and fear, the campaign contributed to a broader conversation about insurance as financial preparedness before something happens. The communication was launched in a rapidly growing insurance market. In 2024, approximately 10 million insurance contracts were concluded in Uzbekistan. Total insurance premiums reached UZS 9.8 trillion, up 21% year-on-year, while insurance payouts reached UZS 2.2 trillion, up 9%. In Q1 2026, payouts across Uzbekistan’s general insurance sector reached UZS 789.4 billion — 32.4% higher year-on-year, demonstrating the growing real-world role of insurance protection. The brand promise was also backed by KAFIL-SUG‘URTA’s actual performance. In Q2 2026, the company received 3,876 insurance claims and paid 3,779 of them — approximately 97.5%. Total compensation paid to customers during the quarter reached UZS 39 billion. 21.5K+ views. 3,779 paid claims. UZS 39 billion in compensation. One simple message: JUST IN CASE. Most importantly, the campaign translated CASCO from complex insurance terminology into a story people could recognise, understand and remember.
