  • VDNKH Auto festival: Prodvizhenie
"ProDvizhenie" unites on one ground automobiles and technologies of varying epochs, velocities, and aesthetic characters—from vintage machinery and supercars to motorcycles and self-driving vehicles. This entire spectrum unfolds within the tangible reality of VDNKh, transforming the landmark into a space that is at once historic, current, and forward-looking.

Problem

We needed to capture attention for the festival and tell as many people as possible about it, showcasing the scale of the event: a major gathering at VDNH featuring cars from different eras, from vintage classics to modern vehicles. We wanted people to feel inspired to come and experience the festival with their whole family. The main challenge was that the automotive heroes were very different from one another, making it difficult to bring them together in a single film. We needed to preserve the individuality of each car while creating a cohesive and compelling story.

Solution

We differentiated the characters through the film’s visual language: each hero was given its own space, movement, camera style and rhythm, while VDNH and the overarching dramaturgy remained the elements that tied everything together. Space, movement direction, color, sound and editing became a unified system, allowing multiple visual languages to coexist within a single cohesive film.

Results

We didn’t eliminate the differences — we brought them together into one film. The diversity of vehicles became a unified image of the festival, which went on to become one of the largest automotive events of the year.
