Advertising product Kamolon Osh - Instagram Reels content campaign for an Uzbek pilaf restaurant brand. Pilaf is more than food in Uzbekistan. It is a cultural code - a symbol of hospitality, gathering and togetherness, deeply rooted in everyday life and traditions.
Problem
Despite this cultural richness, restaurant content on social media often looked the same: steaming plates, food shots and full tables. A dish with so much meaning was being reduced to just another food post. Make Kamolon’s social media content something people would choose to watch and share - not simply another restaurant post in their feed.
Solution
Instead of only showing pilaf, Kamolon made it part of the content people already wanted to watch. Trends, local humor, familiar rituals and unexpected situations were reinterpreted through the brand. A global Red Bull trend became a local kompot joke, while the familiar ritual of sharing pilaf was taken somewhere completely unexpected - into the sky.
Results
Two hero videos generated more than 4,6 million views. One of them reached 2.4 million views, 148,000 likes, 130,000 shares, 6,300 comments and 5,583 reposts. The approach grew beyond individual viral videos and became Kamolon’s recognizable social media language.
