HIVE is a youth art hub and coffee space created by INDIGO. It is designed as a place where students can meet, study, work on their ideas, relax, and feel part of a creative community.

Problem

The task was to transform a school café into a meaningful third place for young creators. The identity needed to feel connected to INDIGO while having its own character, one that would resonate with students and feel more independent, expressive, and contemporary.

Solution

The visual identity was built around the metaphor of a hive, a space where different individuals come together, interact, and create. The system combines a strict typographic logo with flexible illustrations, expressive colors, and student-centered details. This contrast creates a visual language that feels structured yet alive, artistic yet accessible.

Results

HIVE gained a flexible and distinctive visual system that works across the entire space and its communications. The identity helps turn the café into a recognizable creative hub, giving students a stronger sense of belonging while keeping HIVE clearly connected to the broader INDIGO community.
